Berg Orthodontics FAQ

Q: At what age should my child be seen by an Orthodontist?

A: The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children be examined by an Orthodontist by the age of 7.

Q: Can I afford orthodontic treatment?

A: Many dental insurance plans now include orthodontic benefits and we accept most insurances. Our office would be happy to call your insurance company to find out the details of your plan. We also offer financing with no interest and no down-payment!

Q: My teeth have been crooked for many years – why should I have orthodontic treatment now?

A: It’s never too late! Healthy teeth can be moved at any age. Orthodontic treatment can restore good function. And teeth that work better usually look better, too. A healthy, beautiful smile can improve self-esteem, no matter the age.

Q: How long can I expect to have my braces on?

A: Most patients finish treatment with Dr. Berg in 1 year. The main reasons are:

  1. Dr. Berg uses the most advanced technology that has been proven to shorten treatment time up to 6 months.
  2. Dr. Berg limits the number of patients he sees daily so he can spend much more time with every patient at each appointment so you get done faster. Many orthodontists see as many as 100+ patients per day. Dr. Berg sees approximately 50.
  3. Dr. Berg is the only orthodontist in his office. This assures that your treatment is not confused with the ideas of multiple doctors. Dr. Berg knows what his treatment goals are for each patient every visit. This leaves out the guess work and helps in shortening your treatment time.

Q: Why should I choose Dr. Berg?

A: Dr. Berg is a dentist and an orthodontist. He has completed an additional three years of orthodontic training at the University of Southern California in order to become an orthodontic specialist. He opened his practice in Orem in 2002 and has been serving his community ever since.
Dr. Berg has built a practice that is centered around the highest quality and convenience for his patients. He sees patients until 8:00 P.M. so they don’t have to miss work, school or after school activities such as sports.
