We Provide Faster Results!
By providing quality treatment with the patient’s best interest always coming first, Dr. Berg finishes most patient’s treatment in 1 year! Here are the main reasons why:
Speed Braces. This up-to-date technology has been proven to shorten treatment time up to 6 months!
Dr. Berg limits the number of patients he sees daily so he can accomplish more at each of your appointments and therefore, your braces come off sooner. Many orthodontists see as many as 100+ patients a day. Dr. Berg sees less than 50, this ensures that your treatment progresses efficiently and there is no unnecessary delay in finishing your treatment plan.
Dr. Berg is the only orthodontist in our office. Our patients do not see a different doctor every other visit, they see Dr. Berg exclusively. This assures that your treatment is not confused with the ideas of multiple doctors and therefore, avoids having a longer than necessary treatment time.
Completing a patient’s treatment in less than 1 year requires superior braces, superior materials, and much more of Dr. Berg’s time and effort. But to Dr. Berg the extra effort is worth the resulting shorter treatment time and the better results. In fact, finishing orthodontic treatment in a reasonable time is also safer and healthier for your teeth, roots, gums, and bones.
We Provide Healthier Results
Healthier for your Teeth
Unlike other braces, speed braces do not have traps for plaque to get caught between the brace and the tooth. Also, speed braces do not require O-rings which also attract and trap plaque. This plaque may cause cavities and permanent white spots on teeth.
Healthier for your Gums
Less plaque and food traps on your teeth and gums means less irritation, less infection, and less gum disease.
Healthier for your Bones
Infection in your gums (gingivitis) can lead to bone disease (periodontitis). This can cause black spaces between your teeth, loose teeth and even a loss of teeth.
Healthier for your Roots
Root resorption is when your root is worn down to a shorter length due to orthodontic treatment. It is one of the most researched areas in orthodontics. The only orthodontic treatment method that has been linked to root resorption is the length of treatment time. The longer a patient has their braces on, the more root resorption they experience. Speed braces help diminish that risk by shortening treatment time by 4-6 months.
Why don’t all orthodontists use speed braces?
Because speed braces are more hi-tech and difficult to manufacture than conventional braces, they cost much more than conventional braces. This increases orthodontists’ overhead and thus decreases their profit.
Speed braces are fairly new. Orthodontists may not feel comfortable using a brace they are not used to. Dr. Berg was trained with more than 10 different types of braces and techniques, and has used speed braces for the last 10 years.
